The carbon graphite plate is designed to control pathologies involved with the range of motion of the metatarsal phalangeal joints of the foot. Due to its unique material properties which control motion, resistive energy is stored within the material and released at the terminal stages of the gait, facilitating a more normal toe-off ("energy storage").
